We work continuously to further reduce emissions from our production. On our journey toward climate neutrality, we have set ourselves ambitious goals and are striving to contribute and align with our parents' companies to achieve net zero CO2 emissions by 2050.
We aim to move toward a more Circular Economy andcontribute by further optimizing our operations and explore on the use of recycled and renewable feedstock and offering resource-efficient products which support our customers’ circularity journeys.

By 2030, we want to establish sustainable water management at our KuantanVerbundSite and we have identified different measures of water conservation and water recycling at sitein orderto achieve this target.
We source responsibly by extending sustainability evaluations and improve sustainability performance through the Together For Sustainability Initiative.

BASF PETRONAS Chemicals is selected as the venue for the launch of OSH Week 2022 Event by Department of Safety and Health (DOSH) Pahang. The event is officiated by DOSH Pahang Acting Director, among other activity during the event include, sketch presentation on Working at Height and Safety Recognition, the session was attended by our employees and contractor personnel at site.

BASF PETRONAS Chemicals organised the annual Global Safety Days with variousinteractive activities and sharing on HSE related topics. The finale event is wrapped up with the Journey To EHS Excellence Exhibition during the anniversary celebration with external stakeholders where we showcase our best practices, latest innovation, technology and recognition of best safety award to our partners.

BASF PETRONAS Chemicals organised and hosted the physical & virtual fun run event alongside with BASF Malaysia and BASF Asia Pacific Services Centre at Pantai Sepat,Kuantan. The eco concept introduced our sustainability cause as a company which include plogging activities and other environmental related mini games and awareness programme.

The Pitch It Right 2.0 Competitionorganisedby The Institution of Chemical Engineers University of Nottingham Student Chapter (UNM IChemE) supported by BASF PETRONAS Chemicals. The event was held virtually with nine (9) competing groups consists of students from local universities and the panel judges and supporting team frombASFPETRONAS Chemicals. This year's edition of Pitch It Right 2.0 competition theme on Water Sustainability gives undergraduate students specifically engineering disciplines, the opportunity to compete and demonstrate their innovative proposal and novel approaches to address industry common challenges associated with the competition theme.

BASF PETRONAS Chemicals is proud to ink allegiance in bridging education and environmental awareness with Green Growth Asia Foundation (GGAF). Both partners will work together to facilitate sustainability efforts in the areas where BPC operates through Eco-SchoolsProgramme(ESP). This partnership is fundamental to“Education for Sustainable Development”, one of the catalysts underlying all the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which is championed by the Government of Malaysia.

BASF PETRONAS Chemicals donated recycle bins and conducted the plastic recycling campaign among 7 schools around Kuantan area; collected more than 300kgs of plastic waste with the participation of local school students and teachers.This campaign also include the “Speak Up! Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM)” webinar co-organized with local university students body in educating them on the topic of STEM and awareness concept of eliminate, innovate and circulate use of plastic waste
